Building up your email list? Here are 3 Social networks you shouldn’t forget!

When talking about Social networks, I simply love to use statistics (in order to prove how powerful tools they are). Why? Because there’s almost 3 billion Social network users worldwide with annual growth of 21%. It’s definitely something you can’t neglect.

We believe that you’re already using Facebook, Google +, Twitter, Instagram or LinkedIn in order to improve your business. But, these Social networks are not the only ones – there’s more other relevant Social networks for your business. That’s why we’re mentioning 3 Social networks you shouldn’t forget:

#1 Pinterest

PInterest is highly used among people worldwide, which makes it a great opportunity for building your email list. Most of the people think that Pinterest is used only for DIY tips and cooking receipts. But actually, it’s an amazingly large search engine and something like a huge online marketplace.

Develop your profile on this Social network for beginning, and focus on what’s your business about. The goal is to offer something to your followers (existing and new ones). Interact with people as much as possible and explore your target audience. Another thing you can do is to join Pinterest groups. Find boards similar to your niche, follow them, and add comments with your sign up page.

#2 Quora

Quora is a Q&A website where everybody can either ask or answer questions. Quora’s monthly visit rate is around 100 million – yes, that’s why I’m telling you you should use it. If you’re doubting it, check out Ryan Stewart’s post about how he gained 1,600 visitors using Quora.

First thing you can do is to add a link to your sign up page in description when you register (as well as on all the other Social networks). What you need to do on Quora is to explore questions similar to your niche and answer the questions – in every answer include the link for your sign up page as a potential solution/help. Take your time and be really helpful, because that way you’ll gain readers trust and they’ll probably sign up to your newsletter.

#3 Reddit

It’s true that Reddit looks a bit confusing and unprofessional, but it can be useful tool for building your email list. How does the website works? Users share links, leaving comments, voting and similar all kinds of different contents. Reddit users are usually “experts” for this Social network, so you’ll need to take time before posting your own stuff. If they figure out that you want something from them, they won’t like you… at all.

What you need to do on Reddit in order to expand your email list is similar to your “work” on Quora. At first answer to question and links that are similar to your business, and later on, when you become a part of Reddit community, start posting your own links. It will pay off, because Reddit users are loyal to this platform, and if they like you make sure that you’ll grow your email list.
