With so many different ways to monetize your online website, it’s natural that you want to find the one that fits you the most. Google AdSense is popular among all kinds of online businesses and that’s why accepting application can be a long process. Google had to distinguish quality applications – that’s why it’s hard to get approved. But there are some tricks you can do to make the process easier, and that’s why we’re writing this text.

What is AdSense?

We need to start with some basics, in case you don’t know what it is. If you’re a publisher (you own a blog, YouTube profile, website etc.) you can link up with Google AdSense and earn money by displaying paid advertisements. You can earn from AdSense in two ways (PPC and visits), but we’ll mention only PPC today. It means Paid Per Click – you’ll get paid everytime somebody clicks an ad on your profile. It’s sounds super-easy, but you shouldn’t expect miracles: it’s a long road, so don’t think that it will be a fast way to earn money. You will earn, but not right away.

How does AdSense work?

When your application is accepted, you’ll get a code from Google – place the code on your website, choose how ads will appear on your profile and other settings. The code will help AdSense to know that your blog/website is about and based on that ads will appear on your profile.

For example, if your blog is about travelling, your visitors will see ads about some destinations, travel agencies, hotels and similar.

How to apply for Google AdSense?

That’s simple – just visit the site and sign up, but the question is how to get approved. First of all, you need to work on your blog/website. That includes different things:

  1. Your content should be good – Write unique and quality posts. Your blog should have a value for your visitors – if so, they’ll keep coming back. Also, your posts should contain interesting and useful content, not too short.
  2. About Page, Contact Us, Privacy Policy – These are really important because you must have all of them. Without these pages you won’t be approved, simple as that. Take time and create quality content – it will show that you’re not a fraud and that your business is serious and trustworthy.
  3. Design – If your page is designed poorly, you won’t be approved. It’s important to have a professional design, that it’s intuitive and simple to navigate.

So, make sure that your blog looks professional and well designed, with all the information needed and original content. After that, apply for AdSense and wait to be approved.

Finally, why AdSense?

It’s easy to use, free and it makes you improve your business in order to use it – it’s actually helping you on many levels. You can choose how ads will appear on your blog and that’s amazing. Another thing is that you’ll have insights in analytics, so you’ll be able to know what’s happening and how is it going.

Bonus: Combining Opinodo with AdSense to earn even more

Opinodo helps you monetize your traffic through surveys. Basically, you recruit your visitors to answer different surveys. When they complete them, you get paid, they get paid and Opinodo gets paid – it’s a total win-win.
Opinodo is a great way to earn even more, without seeing a drop in your AdSense revenue. Our publisher, Jakob behind Danish blog Byggebloggen managed to almost triple his revenue per thousand views (RPM) combining AdSense and Opinodo. Read more about this case here.
